Casual Beauty Lecturer

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Casual Lecturer in Beauty to provide support for the curriculum delivery of our beauty courses for approximately 5 hours per week on a Monday and/or Friday.

Duties:

• Classroom teaching, tutorial work and associated outreach duties.
• All associated organisational and administrative work, preparation. and marking and appropriate student welfare and academic counselling responsibilities.
• Acting as a Personal Tutor to students as required and undertaking all of the associated duties including pastoral care support. 
• Making a full contribution to the team approach to learning and teaching.
• Implementing a student-centred negotiated learning programme in accordance with the College’s curriculum framework.
• Implementing agreed induction procedures and processes for students.
• Ensuring that students are informed of what is expected of them at every stage of their programme.
• Ensuring that appropriate assignments, tasks and activities are regularly set and assessed and that feedback is given to students in ways that will allow them to develop and achieve progression.

Skills/Experience:

• Previous teaching experience or has supported apprentices in the workplace.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people at all ages and levels.
• Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines within a busy environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum GCSE Grade 4/C in English & Maths or equivalent.
• Level 3 qualification in Beauty.
• Level 5 Teaching qualification (preferable).
• Assessor and Moderator Award (preferable).
